Gotham Editorial
Research standards for practical legal work.
Gotham Insights explains legal research, review, compliance and operations workflows for Indian legal teams. The library is educational material, not legal advice.
How we prepare a field guide
- Start with the practitioner’s task. Each guide addresses a defined workflow or decision rather than a keyword variation.
- Prefer primary authority. Legal and regulatory claims link to legislation, courts, tribunals, regulators, standards bodies or other first-party sources.
- Separate authority from process. Operational suggestions are identified as workflow guidance and do not replace advice on the reader’s facts.
- Verify before reliance. Readers should confirm current law, procedure and source text with qualified counsel and official materials.
Assisted drafting and review status
We may use research, automation and assisted-drafting tools to organise source material and improve coverage. Those tools are not treated as legal authorities. Every article displays its editorial status and update date. Material marked “Editorial review required” has not yet received accountable subject-matter approval and should be read accordingly.
Corrections and accountable review
We correct source, citation and workflow errors when identified. To report an issue or provide reviewer credentials for a subject area, email editorial@trygotham.io with the article URL and supporting source.
